What is TRC-20?

An explanation of the fungible-token standard used on the TRON network

TRC-20

TRC-20 is a token standard on the TRON blockchain. It defines common functions so applications and wallets can work with those assets.

TRON as infrastructure

TRON is a different network from Ethereum. Even if an asset uses the same symbol on both, its technical representation belongs to different infrastructures.

Native asset

TRX is TRON’s native asset and participates in the economic operation of that network.

Recognizing labels

The TRC-20 label helps distinguish a representation on TRON from standards such as ERC-20 or BEP-20.
